Meet Rush, my 2 year old, great nephew. This past weekend, we spent it exploring the Smokies and Dollywood. I had the privilege of “Uncle duty” for the day. Just so cool!
Rush and I explored every pumpkin, every pond looking for fish (even got in one or two), took a ride on the flying elephants, and captured a big dragon (that we had to carry around all day).
Like a typical guy, I don’t take a ton of pics on a trip, and trying to take a pic of 2 year old in action, well you get the point.
However, I was able to capture this one pic, and while I didn’t think much of it at the time, on the ride home, it spoke to me.
For Rush, the awe of seeing these big flowers and bees, made him so excited and like any 2 year old, he had to get up, in the middle of it. And like any good uncle would do, I let Rush do whatever he wanted to, explore those flowers and bees and climb right up in the middle of it, “Right in the middle of life”!
My 2 yr old great nephew reminded me of a simple concept of leadership and motivation….
“just climb up in the middle of it, explore that pond, look for the fish, find the wonder in the moment..”
Remember to motivate someone in a positive way today, explore, count the pumpkins, get in the pond and watch out for dragons. #bestlife50
